This is a great gift for kids to make, my boys made these last year for teachers and family.

Here's what you need
1~Canning jar
2~White & Black acrylic pain
3~Orange pipecleaners
4~Googly eyes
5~Black Felt
6~Ribbon
7~Candle holder (Michaels or JoAnns)
8~Hot Glue Gun

First you will need to paint the main part of the jar white up to the ribbed part, while the paint is drying you can cut out your felt hat by tracing a CD then trace the candle holder in the center so that the hat will slip over the jar.

When your white pain is dry pain the top ribbed part of the jar black along with the top part on the candle holder. You can also pain the mouth on at this time we used Q-tips to do this. To make the nose we wrapped pipe cleaners around the tip of a pencil the cut it the length we wanted and glued it on the jar and added the eyes.

Now you can slip the felt circle over the top of the jar and it should st right below the ribbed section, add the candle holder so it sits just in the jar. You can add some ribbon to hide the ribbed portain of the jar
